Introduction	My background is in both the world of self-published hardcore punk fanzines and the world of peer-reviewed academic journal articles. I am too lazy to continue with the cutting-and-pasting, printing, and assembling of the former, and I am not sure the things I have to say would pass muster with the editors of the latter. So, here you have this blog. When I made zines, it was on machines at major corporate chain stores on 11x17 paper. I could not tell you anything about the technologies behind offset, risograph, or newsprint methods of zine-making. By the same token, I don’t know enough about online publishing to spend time and money on a more modern looking site. So, I'm using a service that was becoming popular when I started making my first zines. Just as making a zine in the way I did at the time I did felt intentionally anachronistic, so, too, does using Blogger in 2024. Graphic design and programming are not my strengths. Words are. This is simply the easiest way to get my thoughts to you.
