| Introduction | I'm Jan Cornell. I'm a 62 year old Family Practice doc currently in a fascinating job with a medical marijuana clinic. I'm embarking upon my fourth foray into rocketry: first when I was around age 12, then after finishing college in my 20's, then when I was in medical school, up until this time. So I've loved the hobby for over 50 years - wow. One would think that after 50 years of intermittent experience building rockets, I'd be pretty good at it. Well, for me not so much. While I do have an awesome creative bent, it usually arcs toward finding inventive ways to mess up a rocket's finish. I've learned that I can mess up a rocket's finish at any step of the construction process. But each time I finish a bird I look at it again in a few days and think, "Well, it's not THAT bad..." lol. And I start the next kit determined to get it right this time. Actually flying the rocket sometimes becomes an afterthought. |
