| Introduction | I am a writer, blogger and columnist in Portland, Oregon where I live with my wife Cher and our three teenage daughters. The estrogen in our house sometimes reaches toxic levels. I am a recent graduate of Portland State University and begin graduate studies forthwith in the MFA program for Creative Nonfiction. I hope to finish graduate school before my children do. Cher and I recently acquired a Macgregor 26X sailboat because our lives were way too stagnant and boring and we had nothing to spend money on. It's an adventure that neither of us are prepared for and therefore, should be interesting.
