Introduction	Spencer Mondshein was born on the upper east side of Manhattan. When he was six years old, he moved to Westchester, New York. From a very early age, he showed an affinity towards Native American culture, the animal kingdom and outdoor living. Spencer graduated with a BA from the University of Richmond in 2008 where he majored in Rhetoric and Communications and minored in Theatre. With the exception a two-week outdoors camp (when he was 12) and a 150-mile post collegiate hike on the Appalachian Trail, he has spent the majority of his life in cities and suburbs.
