| Introduction | Hello! My name is Stu Helm. I've been a freelance artist, writer, & graphic designer for most of my life. I live in Asheville, NC, where the food scene has exploded in recent years. I started writing a regular food column for Ashvegas.com in 2013, where I gained some notoriety as "The Food Critic" a moniker intended to be both self-effacing & self-aggrandizing, & not to be taken too seriously by myself or my readers. This blog is mostly for my food writing, but I may also touch on other subjects, such as riding a bike (I don't drive), local art (see my Jonas Gerard Project), or Trollism (I despise it). I DO NOT allow anonymous posts, or hateful language towards myself or my friends on this blog, so don't even bother trying. The comments here are moderated by exactly one person: Me.
