| Introduction | This blog is about some of the things I'm interested in, including gardening, cooking, home projects and resource efficiency. It is my response to some of the environmental and social issues facing us today. You see, I know about and understand the ramifications of peak oil, I also believe that our ever increasing use of fossil fuels is contributing to climate change and we need to address these issues ASAP. However, I don't need to bang on about these things, rehashing the same old dire info, reports, pleas for action, etc. There are plenty of blogs that handle that better than I could. I know there are people out there who believe in living sustainably and caring for the environment, individuals and communities doing positive things that help address these issues. So this blog is intended to just add another voice to those who are getting on with it, making changes and sharing their experiences. Its about the things I am doing to deal with the changes I see happening in my neck of the woods. Informative and fun to read is the goal, let's see if it works. |
