| Introduction | Linda Aksomitis publishes historical fiction and nonfiction, and relies on museums to help establish the authenticity of her work. She's also been lucky to have spent a couple of decades as a travel writer visiting 25+ countries. So, it was a natural to create a blog dedicated to sharing the best museums she's visited in North America with others fascinated by history and yesterday's stories. After growing up on a steady diet of old westerns and riding her own horse in gymkhana and horse shows, she had a great background for writing about the old west. She also honed her skills researching as she developed a database of pedigrees for her family's horses on the Qu'Appelle Appaloosa Ranch. Much of her book writing has revolved around old west real -- and fantasy -- settings, as well as snowmobile history. Linda has a master's degree in adult education, with a major in English and education specialization as a teacher-librarian. She currently works as an online curriculum developer. |
