| Introduction | I am the granddaughter of Charles Patrick Rooney, and I was born with the love of wild places in my blood. Santa Cruz is the perfect environment for a gypsy like me. There's something magical in the air, singing inspiration and taking me on endless adventures. My creative work is a reflection of the love I have for life. I spent most of my life working inside an office building, but at age 50 I decided to focus on my art. I now spend my days creating each piece by hand, infusing my pieces with the love I feel for life. Since the natural environment and the beings who dwell there are my inspiration, I donate a portion of my earnings to organizations that work to keep the wild spaces alive. I hope my work brings out a little bit of the gypsy in you. |
