| Introduction | 2007 was a tough year. My marriage of 4 years was ending and I knew I had two choices. I could either spend the rest of my life curled up in a ball on my bedroom floor...or I could take a trip around the world. After much deliberation (seriously), I opted for the world. In 4 months I went to 9 countries on 3 continents. I started this blog to document my travels and keep my parents sane while I was galavanting through far-off lands. It's since blossomed into an exploration of much more than just the world around me. Plus, somewhere in the middle of all of this--enroute from Delhi to Rome (at a duty free sunglass shop in Qatar), I met a guy. An Italian. So the blog has taken yet another turn from world exploration to living in Southern Italy with aformetioned Italian, learning the language (ugh), and learning how to let myself love again... |
