Introduction	Two years ago, I was just beginning the adventure of writing my dissertation. The beast is finally complete. It would have consumed my life entirely, had I not had teaching and a calling in young women to balance things out. And now that this, my grandest of accomplishments, my monument to pushing through a million moments of despair, has joined its fellows on the dusty shelves, I move on to a life in academia. May I be as positively influential in the lives of my students as the many teachers and professors who encouraged me on, and may I never become so complacent, or so bitter, or so tenured, that these students become anything other than my top priority.
Interests	All things basketball, Most things football, Some things baseball, Not much hockey, And don't forget books!
Favorite movies	Not sure about a favorite, but I strongly dislike movies where a main character dies after you waste 2 hours getting attached to them
Favorite music	Pretty much anything - my iPod has everything from opera to hip-hop
Favorite books	I wouldn't know where to begin
