Introduction Born and raised in central Washington, I started out in a crafty family, I am third generation artsy girl! My mother and Grandmother were both a big influence in my art. I helped my mother make cloth dolls as a young adult. I restored antique dolls, and designed my own. As I grew older my interest range widened. I floated in and out of passions. I went on to discover watercolors and acrylic paints, When I combined techniques with home made paper clay the results were surprising and fun. My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas I have about myself and the world I live in. I am a sculptor , a painter, a furniture restorer, an artist. I've been working with both paint and paper clay since the mid 90's. I know art doesn't have to be functional and can just be what it is, but making something that is functional, interesting, pleasing to the viewer and holds their gaze then I have succeeded in my work. I use sculpture in my art chairs it is challenging and a never ending source of inspiration. All artwork copyright protected. © 2009-2019 Kathleen Hall All Rights Reserved
