Introduction I was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and emigrated to Canada with my family at the age of seven. I have been privileged to study and work in cities as diverse as Toronto, Cape Town, South Africa, Halifax, and now Edmonton. I have served as a campus pastor, research-institute coordinator, and manager of a multi-racial house on the campus of the University of Cape Town. I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. But like all Christians, I experience that commitment within a set of traditions. My ecclesiology and love for liturgy has been shaped by the Anglo-Catholicism of King's Chapel, Halifax, and my theology and philosophy has been influenced deeply by the neo-Calvinism of Abraham Kuyper and his followers. I've learned a great deal from theologies of liberation in Latin America and South Africa, as well as the radical Christian left in the US.
Interests theology, liturgy, classical guitar, science fiction and fantasy, South Africa
