| Introduction | As a visual artist, I draw inspiration from the shapes created by the play of light on undulating landscapes, in the folds of flowers and its affect on shadow details in still lifes. I create realistic representations to celebrate the beauty of nature. My medium choice is watercolors and pastels - which allows me to fully express the emotion I feel when inspired to draw and paint. Although a lifelong learner, my formal education began at the Art Institute of Boston where I studied fine art, graphics design and sculpture. As a professional graphic designer with over 30 years of experience, I have mentored many young artists who have gone on to have successful careers. At this point in my career, I am focused on making art and interacting with artists to share the knowledge I have gained and the skills I have developed. I hope you enjoy my work! |
