| Introduction | I was born as a baby, grew up as a girl, and became a fully fleshed out woman. People who know me will tell you I have an opinion or insight on just about everything and that I tell the truth when needed, but I do fib for funsies. If I were born a manchild, I would have been an American author, poet, abolitionist, naturalist, tax resister, development critic, surveyor, historian, philosopher, and leading transcendentalist. Perhaps I am 2/3rds of a man and that's enough for purposes of this blog. And I do have the internet so...winner! |
| Interests | friends, family, animals, food, fun, fellowship, geneology and finance, followed by the usual current events and world peace. |
| Favorite movies | Bridge on the River Kwai, Some Like it Hot, 12 Angry Men, Inn of the Sixth Happiness, Captain Ron, The Jerk, O'Brother, Blazing Saddles and the real Willy Wonka with Gene Wilder. Also "The Gift" because Keanu Reeves was scary good. |
| Favorite music | Real country -George Jones is right the new stuff stinks mostly but Sugarland is ok; 60s R & B, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Elvis Costello and Marshall Bruce Mathers III (minus that red-headed amazon shrieker he's been with lately). Today I'm not liking the ladies too much, perhaps later I will add some. |
| Favorite books | Poisonwood Bible, Holy Bible, Civil Disobedience, Walden, Sister Carrie, Lady Chatterly's Lover, Great Expectations and Hamlet for realz. But I also read LHJ and other periodicals periodically. |
