| Introduction | I'm a painter who works primarily in oil on canvas. This blog has been created to record my newest, smaller daily painting works. I've been working in oils since 2005. Before that, I concentrated on watercolor for many years. My approach has always been to look for the energies in a subject, and to explore the visual aspects that communicate that to me. Many of my works are larger, so the concept of making small studies and works has a lot of appeal. It allows quicker start to finish times, and encourages risk taking and experimentation that larger pieces don't. I hope you enjoy my efforts here, and I'd love to hear your comments! |
