Introduction | Hi there! Welcome to my Blog; Good Grief. Before we get started, let me state that I am not a therapist or counselor. The most that I have, in the way of is certification, is in Alzheimer's/Dementia Care and as a facilitator for Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Support groups. Otherwise, everything I write here is from my own, personal, experience. The purpose of this blog is to provide a safe, neutral place where people can come to talk about end-of-life. My experiences, working in Home health Care, has shown me that there is a big need for somewhere to go, that's not a structured support group or a therapy/counseling setting, where people can just say what's on their mind. With that in mind, this Blog has: No specific agenda, no unsolicited advice, no expectations, no judgements. This Blog will be: a safe, anonymous (if so desired), place, advice will not be tolerated unless expressly requested, a place where you're sharing is met with love, compassion, tolerance and acceptance. |
