Introduction Heather, a San Antonio native, was formerly on the staff of Seton Cove, an interfaith spirituality center in Austin, and is a dedicated rower, published poet, and freelance theology teacher. Martin, born in San Francisco, was for many years a writer and editor with the Texas State Historical Association and with Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the NEH. We divide our time between our house in Austin and MadroƱo Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. We have three kids, two dogs, and four cats.
