Introduction	Ms. Primus currently teaches 8th grade English at an all boys' independent school in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Concurrently, she is a doctoral student at a major research university interested in the intersections of curriculum, culturally relevant pedagogy, and teacher identity. Aligned with the work of Dewey, Friere, and Morrison(among others), Ms. Primus believes that through learning (not solely "schooling") transformation and critical inquiry can occur best.
