| Introduction | My father was the one that named me Nicole. It was a toss up between that and Natalie. He made the best judgement he could because my deaf mother did not know what they sounded like. She has recently told me she is sad because when looking at someone saying Nicole, they make an ugly face. When you say Natalie, you make a smiling face. True story.
