| Introduction | Born and raised in the vibrant and infamous NYC, where art is a lifestyle and design is a necessity, it was no surprise to me when I discovered my creative abilities at the age of 14 with the help of my grandfather John who was also a designer. Fascinated by the programs he used (PageMaker back in those days) and the hum of his 300dpi Epson laser printer (I’m dating myself), I was inspired to design flyers for my class trips while my friends were busy trying out for school sports. I knew that a career in design was the obvious choice, I continued my studies in Digital Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, I headed back to the Big Apple to jumpstart my career in design as a Graphic Designer with a downtown printing company, which later led me down the path of becoming a Junior Designer for a marketing company in TriBeCa. With a strong desire and keen eye for print design, I decided to enter the world of publishing about four years and have since worked as a Senior Designer as well as Art Director for a variety of publications. |
| Interests | I am a fan of everything New York City has to offer. From summer picnics on Central Park’s Great Lawn, Shopping in SoHo, celebrity sightings to a cozy French Wine Bar on the Upper East Side, this city is truly a place I will forever and always call home. Having said that, I’m proud to say that I finally got myself a passport...yep, aren’t you proud. I just spent New Year’s Eve in Rome and LOVED IT!! I definitely got that itch to travel as much as I can now. This summer, I’m be taking a cruise to the Western Caribbean and then I’m off for a week to visit a friend in Guadalajara. My other interests include meeting new faces, crawling home at 5 in the morning, reading anything that catches my interest, watching strange artsy films, going to a theatre and watching someone sweat, breathe, and bleed their souls on stage. I’m a big Broadway buff saw a little over 40 shows in one year (I had a connection to cheap tix hehe), and anything else that might expand my horizons and make me a pinch more experienced. |
