Introduction Proud cofounder (and former co-owner) of the award-winning bookstore, Wolfgang Books in Phoenixville, PA. The DA name is motivated by the notion that if there were such a position in the cosmos, the holder would be incredibly aware of what the Devil owns and does not own. This blog will focus on the latter. For the record: This is a conceit; I do not believe in the Devil. What should you know about the DA? The Devil (again, conceit) in his way has stamped me with the tragic brand of the romantic fatalist. Yet I still try my best to be rational and curb the melodrama. Thus I have lost more than I care to admit and admit to even less that I've won. See? Melodrama. My goal: Mold DA into an important and useful resource for literary hobbyists and professionals. The driving purpose is to find the nexus points of differing disciplines/interests. I will seek people of diverse backgrounds to provide unique content for the site. They will have the opportunity to promote their pursuits on DA. If this seems like something you'd like to be involved with, please feel free to contact me. Remember: the focus is literary, so the books discussed must be conceivably interesting to a varied audience.
Interests The Grand Plan, chiles
Favorite Books Don Quixote, The Divine Comedy, Invisible Cities, Italo Calvino, Jorge Luis Borges, The Arabian Nights, The Enchiridion, Giacomo Leopardi, Salman Rushdie, Charles Baudelaire, Umberto Eco, Tao Te Ching, Baruch Spinoza, Stendhal, Albert Camus, Lydia Davis, Ernest Hemingway, H.P. Lovecraft, Peter Matheson, Margaret Atwood. Not in that order and with many others. I read Hemingway's short stories to cheer myself up.
