| Introduction | At the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife, we love Australia’s unique animals and plants. We believe that these wonders are worth preserving for future generations to enjoy. With your help, together we can ensure their survival. Our mission is to help the environment and fund conservation efforts. Since 1970 the Foundation has been raising funds to: • Buy land to add to National Parks • Save Australia’s threatened wildlife from extinction • Protect animal habitats in the wild • Protect Australia’s native forests to slow climate change • Build wildlife corridors so that animal habitats are connected. So far the Foundation has funded recovery and research programs for threatened species, including 35 types of birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians and plants—and saved many from extinction. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife has funded monitoring, research, predator control and habitat regeneration for the Mountain Pygmy-possum for over 20 years.
