| Introduction | I am a holistic veterinarian and pet portrait artist. I graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and started studying holistic medicine in the mid 1990s. I established the Integrative Medical Center for Animals in Sarasota, Florida. I received my certification in Grief Recovery from the Grief Recovery Institute and received my certification in the Arts and Healing Program at Ringling College of Art and Design. In the autumn of 2008, I sold my practice, and my husband and I, along with our 7 animals, moved to a beautiful ranch in western Oregon. I am now focusing on my art with the Soullight Collection of black and white pet portraits (http://www.petportraits bycj.com), facilitating expressive arts workshops, and supporting animal rescue efforts. |
