Introduction I learned to knit from my paternal grandmother when I was about 8 yrs. old. Knitting kept me very content until my high school years when I had such a curiosity to create my own woven cloth. As luck would have it, I was able to study weaving in college under the guidance of Candiss Cole while I got degrees in both Latin and Greek. I have been been weaving for over 30 years now. More than 10 years ago I learned to spin, and since then have tried a little dyeing. I studied kumihimo from Rodrick Owen, both privately and in class settings. For the past 5 years I have been studying tapestry with Soyoo Park and with both Archie Brennan and Susan Martin Maffei as part of their Wednesday Group. I am a member of American Tapestry Alliance; Complex Weavers; Online Guild of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers; Handweavers Guild of America; Mid-Atlantic Fiber Assoc.; and Palisades Guild of Spinners and Weavers.
Interests weaving, tapestry weaving, spinning, dyeing, knitting, basketry, kumihimo, then occasionally some non-fiber activities such as cooking, sailing, reading
