| Introduction | My name is Jen and I've recently become a mom. This is an alternative to retiring, traveling, and collecting grandchildren like so many knick-knacks. While not quite elderly, at 43, I am clawing my way up that hill that I will soon be over. I am married to a great guy who just doesn't get blogging. But he gets fatherhood so that's alright by me. I am also a veterinarian which is a great background for tending to babies which are, of course, animals in their own right. The best kind. I am/was an enthusiastic runner who went from a respectable 8 minute per mile speed to 8 minutes per large pizza during my pregnancy. I am in the slow process of reversing the gravitational effects of this trend. I'm sleep-deprived, worried, exhilarated, fulfilled, awed, and bewildered...I'm Izzy's mom. |
