| Introduction | I am a self employed publisher of a local Trades & Service publication, based in Waipu NZ. Happily Married with 4 Adult children and 6 Grandchildren. I have been involved with the Military for over 30 years including Customs and Ships Stores for the RNZ Navy,Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy,the US Navy. I am a Life member of an Ex Regimental Pipe Band and have been a Member of the Waipu Pipe Band as a Bass drummer and Drum Major. I was Deputy Chairman & Treasurer of the Waipu Centennial Trust Board for a couple of years. I am also a Life Member of the Waipu Caledonian Society which is famous for having it's Annual Highland Games on the 1st January every year since 1871. A Committee Member for almost 2 decades & Secretary and Admin for 9 years, now retired from the Society. We live on a 12 acre lifestyle farm, have been commercial growers of Capsicums. We are keen gardeners and are self sufficient for most of the year although we don't eat our own beef animals as they all have pet names. We try not to use any harmful sprays and believe in rotation of crops if possible. I am a good cook and enjoy making dinner, casseroles,soups and BBQ food are my specialities. |
