| Introduction | So many movies, so little time! I would call myself an "extreme" movie buff - I'm pretty much the type who wants to see every worthwhile film ever made. I enjoy watching movies from all decades and, really, most genres and like to watch at least one movie (or more, if I have the time) every day. I tend towards the early and the rare - I do have a special love for silent films. I also love reading and collecting books - I have a large home library of more than a few thousand books. I love history, visiting historic sites, museums, L.A. history. I collect antique photographs from the early 1900s and 1800s. And another hobby is cooking, collecting cookbooks, and trying out new recipes. And - hurrah for cocktail hour! (Margaritas, Martinis, Mai Tais and other tropical drinks, White Russians, Black Russians, red wine, and dark beer - that's what I'm talkin' about!) :) There are many, many. many films I love, my favorite movies (below) are just a few through the decades that I find myself watching "over and over" again. |
