| Introduction | I find delight in the simple pleasures of the table. I enjoy entertaining at home, trying out new recipes, and dining out with friends.
Having grown up in the restaurant business in Ventura, CA, I pursued my love of the hospitality business. I obtained a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from Santa Barbara Community College, and received my teaching credentials in food and food technology from the University of California. My experience includes television, radio management, food service, authoring ten cookbooks, and writing a monthly called “Simply Entertaining” for Emeril Lagasse on www.emeril.com for three years. Every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., you'll find me at Schaefer's, 47th and R Streets, in Lincoln, Nebraska, demonstrating cooking techniques in one of their great kitchens.
