Introduction	Hi, I'm a Southern Mom-preneur! A stay-at-home mom of two kids! As you can imagine I stay busy. I started this business officially in January 2008 after receiving rave comments from friends and family over my hobby for years of designing diaper cakes and girls hair bows. My bachelor's degree is in Landscape Architecture. Since leaving the design & architecture world in Summer of 2008 (for the health of my unborn son and myself I was on a light "bed rest" until his birth in November '08) I have been seeking design opportunities, but couldn't find the right answer that fit into my Mom lifestyle. I have searched for ways to provide for my family, and I think "Handmade By Amanda" could be the answer and the design outlet that I need! I have been blessed by an outpouring support from friends and family, and look forward to what the future holds.
