Introduction	There are two blogs here under my name. The first one is about the time I spent living in Nicaragua. Here is how I explain that: "When people ask "Why did you choose Nicaragua?" I usually answer, "Well, I had just graduated college and moved to Chicago. It seemed like a great city, almost too great. I needed to go and explore and not be so comfortable. My best friend Sarah had the same ideas and we found the Center for Development in Central America was taking long term volunteers. We applied, got official positions and bought plane tickets." This blog is the product of long days under a sweltering Nica sun. I am working as an herbalist in a green pharmacy." The second one is about how I came back to wonderful St. Louis and my life as an ethnobotanist at a big research institution and my obsession with zombies.
