Introduction	I'm currently in the role of Executive Architect for the Federal CTO Office for IBM. Prior to IBM I was the Federal SOA Architect responsible for developing strategic Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) that includes next-generation application and data integration architectures. Prior to BEA, I was involved in several start-up companies in the DC area in lead architect and Director of Engineering roles. Prior to that, I spent 10 years as an independent consultant in Object-Oriented systems and architectures directing projects at many Fortune 1000 companies such as Texas Instruments, Boeing, Time Warner and US Airways. I have been architecting and building distributed object systems since 1986 and I have a strong specialty in object databases and component-based service architectures.
