| Introduction | I am mommy to Parrish and Olivia, wife to Cannon, and in a former life I worked for Southern Living magazine. Now I am a full-time mom and part-time antique dealer to raise money for the Olivia Charles Prickett Memorial Foundation. I originally started this blog as a way to share design ideas with you but after loosing our youngest child, Olivia, at 9 months of age the idea of thinking about anything but our catastrophic loss seems impossible and suddenly my blog name seems so very inappropriate. But I decided not to change it because although our life is dark without our precious baby girl, it is the path that God has chosen for us and He is sovereign. I don't like the path He chose for us, but I know that only through Him and because of Him will we survive this and grow. That said, this blog will now be about the best AND WORST from our nest because God never said life would be perfect and without trial, but He did promise to walk with us through the valley of the shadow of death and give us peace beyond all human understanding. I am living today because of this promise and because of the HOPE we have in Jesus to one day be reunited with Olivia for ETERNITY. |
