Introduction	I have had a blessed life, always loving what I did, University - I studied Engineering and then went on to complete my PhD while having 2 children, starting a business and renovating 4 houses. Then following the success of the paint effects we had used for many years I started a Stencil Business that ended up being the largest producer of stencils in the UK. I sold that in 2000 and the website www.craftychick.com in 2001. Together with my husband Peter, we have renovated 30+ houses and are building 2 stunning 'Grand Designs' at the moment in the West Midlands, UK (www.at38thecrescent.co.uk). For the last 10 years or so, since my 2 boys have flown the nest to Uni and beyond, our holidays have revolved around wine, travelling to South Africa, South America, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Hungary, Portugal..... and I wanted to write a journal of the wines I have drunk and maybe places we go from now on. I have tasted all the wines and have no affiliation to any company, I buy from all over and enjoy all wines - good and bad. I have formalised my knowledge with WSET qualifications, up to and including the Diploma. Life is an experience - and you learn along the way!
