| Introduction | I am a recovering alcoholic and addict who has been living with vulvodynia for 3 years. My pain includes anal, vulvar, and vaginal itching, burning and sensitivity. The treatments I have used include a massive amount of OTC yeast infection kits, Diflucan, boric acid suppositories/douches, iodine douches, hydrogen peroxide douches, Clobetasol, Nystatin/Triamcinolone...I am now trying oral Neurontin and a topical Gabapentin (Neurontin). I have used both of these for around a month and have not seen any improvement. I also use an anal suppository of a strong steroid but that does not seem to help. I am also COMPLETELY insane. I am told this is normal though (huh?) I have dealt with every eating disorder ever recorded, I suffer from occasional crippling anxiety, chronic pain pretty much all over, and I devote approximately 90% of my day looking in the mirror-either at my face, body, vulva, or butt hole. YAY. |
