Introduction Hi. I am a Bass-baritone teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I give classes in applied voice, music history, vocal literature, vocal pedagogy and opera, and I maintain a private studio. I am particularly interested in teaching pre-college singers who would like to go on to a professional music program at the post-secondary level. I am honoured to have received a Canada Council Arts B Award, an Ontario Arts Council Chalmers Grant, and most recently, a three-year SSHRC fellowship to support my research into singers’ memory. I am a past winner of the Munich International (ARD) Voice Competition. In 2018 I was awarded the Provost’s Dissertation Scholarship at York University., and in October of 2019 I was thrilled to graduate from York with a PhD in Music. In 2014 I received a Master's in Psychology for Musicians (with distinction) from the University of Sheffield.
