| Introduction | I love everything about food -- reading about it, watching tv shows about it, shopping for it, cooking it, and of course eating it. Preparing special meals is my way of showing my love to family and friends. I am slowly adding recipes to the blog -- some are old ones I want my kids to have even though I haven't made those dishes in years. Others are new ones I have just tried. I am constantly in search of new flavors to try together. I love being at my spot in the kitchen cooking while someone I love is on the other side of the bar having a glass of wine or cocktail visiting with me -- it's my favorite way to entertain! |
| Favorite movies | I enjoy a movie that takes me traveling to a beautiful place, makes me laugh and feel good, and has a bit of a love story. My two favorites are French Kiss and Mama Mia. I'm smiling the whole time I'm watching them and that feels great! |
| Favorite music | JT and I have wonderful memories of all the concerts we've seen. For our 25th anniversary I compiled him a cd of love songs of artists we had seen live -- such as Van Morrison, Ray Charles, James Brown, Al Green, Willie, Keb Mo, BB King, Delbert McClinton, Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss, Elvis, Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones -- the list goes on and on. Needless to say we love music. |
| Favorite books | Probably two of my all-time favorites are The Help, and Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. They both take me back to life growing up in a small town in the South in the 50's and 60's. I also love to read historical fiction -- I want a good story that teaches me something at the same time. |
