| Introduction | I grew up in a small town in Alabama--Littleville, AL--and have a Ph.D. in curriculum theory from LSU. I write about the South, religion, gender and sexuality, race, social class, and lately I'm incorporating queer theology into my curriculum studies. I started this blog for myself not only to jumpstart my academic writing, but also because this is the kind of conversational essay writing I enjoy. If you're here and reading this, stay awhile. I am a Professor of Curriculum & Instruction in the Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University and Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership. I'm married--on SCOTUS Day, June 26, 2015. We have two dogs--Duncan and Caroline--and two cats--Charlie and Spike, who has her own Facebook presence. I play french horn and mellophone in the Atlanta Freedom Bands. |
