Introduction | Dr. Sheila is passionate about bringing new life and liberation to the Scriptures and the discipline of Pastoral Spiritual. Marian Spirituality is at the heart of her personal spiritual practice and artistic expression. She is a vowed Third Order Dominican Tertiary since 1977, and holds the mandatum as a Catholic theologian in the archdiocese of Portland, Oregon. She is Associate Professor in the Religious Studies Department and began her tenure at Marylhurst as adjunct faculty in 1993. She worked in curriculum development for the Certificate of Pastoral Care, Masters of Applied Theology and the Masters of Divinity with Dr. Cecilia Ranger, SNJM and Dr. Jerry O. Roussell, Jr. from its founding. With Sister Cecilia, Sheila serves in University Ministries for Marylhurst and for the Forum for Interfaith Dialogue, made possible by a grant from the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Dr. Sheila has a BA in Theatre Arts and a Masters in Religious Education from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has a Masters in Divinity and the Doctorate of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary of the Berkeley Schools of Religion. |
Interests | I love to witness the Spirit move within people, I love writing and performing music and drama. I love teaching, knowing that we're all building the future together with our God. I love playing with my grand babies. |
