Introduction	I find art as means to deliver and present the endless wonders of my cultural heritage, my interpretations of my interactions with life and my inner feelings. It is easier for me to communicate through colours and strokes than through words. I can't remember when I started painting. As a child, I enjoyed art and craft more than playing with any other toy. I learnt art at home from my mother and my aunt. Later in life, I took a few lessons in water-colour and charcoal from art teachers in Singapore, and completed the certificate course in Western Painting with distinction from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, but it won't be wrong to depict myself as a self-taught artist. I studied Chemistry and taught in secondary schools and junior college in India and Singapore for twenty-eight years but I can't remember any period in my life when I ceased to create something associated with art. I have participated in group-exhibitions in Singapore since 2006. In 2011, I had my first solo exhibition in Singapore. Art has kept me going through the darkest moments of my life. I treasure this valuable gift and hope to enjoy it till my last breath.
