| Introduction | My name is Babis Pavlopoulos and I am an author, photographer and tour operator and I have been dealing with defensive, Byzantine, traditional and neoclassical architecture and the environment for over 20 years. I have written four books, the first is the study “Fortified Residences in the Peloponnese 15th- 19th century”, the second is “Lake Kerkini”, one of the most important wetlands in Europe, the third one is “Monasteries in Greece, 15 centuries of Art and Architecture”, and the fourth, also a study, is "Settlements, built in fortified arrangement in Greece, from the Medieval Aegean Sea to Mani region", as well as many articles about architecture and travels for newspapers and magazines.
