| Introduction | Hi, welcome to my blog!!! This blog has been created to demonstrate my learning experience for the course of "ICT's Learning and Design". I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching through Central Qld University and cannot wait to become a qualified secondary teacher. After graduating from a Bachelor Laws / Arts (double major in journalism and public relations) in 2010, I began to pursue a career as a trainee solicitor. That career was short-lived as I realised I did not want to work in the legal profession, but instead wanted to pursue something I have always been passionate about; teaching. So here I am now on a steep, one year learning curve on how to teach high school students. I am hoping to come out of this experience ready for anything my teaching career might throw my way. One area of teaching that I am sure will challenge me is the use of ICTs in the classroom today. I am well aware that the classroom as I knew it when I was in school no longer exists today. So I am looking forward to learning how to teach through the use of ICTs. Stay tuned to see how I go... |
