Favorite moviesMost well done movies with good actors...Comedies, Thrillers, Adventures, Romance, and Children's movies with my son. For some reason 2 movies stand out "Midnight Express" an old movie that I love and have seen a few times. "The Shine" a movie of passion and musical perfection...intense piano in this movie very moving too! For a good cry "The Kite Runner" was the best; I recommend this if sadness is blocked and one needs to cry but can't.
Favorite musicEverything from Mozart to Metallica! Not a fan of Country though. Depends on my mood. I love dancing to really good blues music. Rock and metal to get energized and clean my house. For regular listening I like many female vocalists such as Dido, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morisette, Paula Cole, Alicia Keys. I love classical music especially when studying, and I enjoy New Age music for relaxing particularly with piano. I love Dave Matthews, Cold Play, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, most Classic Rock, and the newer Alternative rock. {These are great for me when driving} Sade for mood and romance and most Black male artists; incl. Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross. I really like "The Cure" but they tend to make me 'spiral inward' in a way that's not good.....I thrived on Meloncoly and what's missing for years so I have to be careful with music that brings out this dark side of myself.
Favorite booksThe Alice Bailey books--"Theosophy" teachings of The Ascended Masters. Recently read Barack Obama's "Audacity of Hope" he totally inspired me. Currently reading "Rambam's Ladder" book about charity and the rungs of giving according to Greek Philosopher Mamoides. Next book waiting for me is "Jesus" by Deepak Chopra, a new Christmas gift I just got!
