| Introduction | I'm a midwesterner who started in radio when I was in high school and just kept on being a media guy for 40 years - with time out for the US Navy. I've covered thousands of stories, met people when they were happy, grieving, campaigning, in shock - expressing every human emotion. I've covered a "chicken flying" contest, Walleye fishing in Wisconsin (more than a sport), flown with the "Blue Angels," covered Washington demonstrations, a KKK rally, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, politics, the transit of a nuclear submarine, the inventor of a "light" glove, and the beginning of many of the technologies we use today. I'm a tremendous lover of language, and (forgive me) puns. |
