| Introduction | Jack Hannula, primarily an oil painter (as well as an architect and writer), has exhibited his art extensively in Washington and internationally - in India, China, Russia and Egypt; and in New York at the Kushnir-Taylor Gallery and Amsterdam-Whitney Gallery (2004-2007). A member of the Arts Club of Washington since 1998, Jack was the founder of the Club’s Spilsbury Gallery (2007) and served as Club President in 2011 and 2012. His vibrant city scenes and landscapes, large and small, are in various private and public collections, including that of the City of Washington, DC. Jack travels considerably to paint, especially in Italy, Sicily, France and Mexico. Jack currently resides in historic San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, an UNESCO World Heritage site-town known for its vibrant art scene and captivating history. Jack published Painting Mexico: Magical Pueblos in Guanajuato in 2017, and is writing several other books which he intends to publish in the coming years. |
