IntroductionRosamond Richardson wrote the weekly 2012 'Flora Britannica' page in Country Life. She currently write on wild flowers and trees for LandScape and Countryside magazines, and is a regular contributor to The Countryman. For many years the author of books about the countryside and things natural, her Country Wisdom was an international bestseller, published in the USA with Time Life, and translated into many foreign editions. Her Hedgerow Cookery, a Penguin Original published in 1980, became a classic.She has advocated organic food in all her writing on vegetarian cookery, and Linda McCartney appointed her as her personal food consultant and writer for two of her best-sellers. Rosamond's Alfresco (Ebury) won a James Beard Award in New York in 1993 and has been translated into several languages. Other books include Country Harvest (Ebury) and The Organic Home, published by Dorling Kindersley in 2003 which has been translated into a French edition. As well as a book entitled Natural Histories of WIld Flowers and Trees, she is currently working on Waiting for the Albino Dunnock, a collection of pieces on encounters with birds in their habitats.
