Introduction	While writing my first blog post, a very large fly was buzzing all around the monitor. My stepson was sitting close by with his socks smelling. My oldest son asked me three different times to remind him of three different things in the morning. My daughter, who is much more creative than I am, heard I was blogging and came over to see what I was doing. My husband, trying to be supportive, kept trying to kill the aforementioned fly. In the midst of all of this, I am trying to stay focused, motivated, avoid being boring, and hoping that future blogging is not so difficult.
Interests	Surviving my children's teenage years, hitting a home run, running a 5k, celebrating a major wedding milestone
Favorite movies	Beaches (Barbara Hershey/Bette Midler), ANYTHING with Tom Hanks, most anything with Susan Sarandon
Favorite music	Contemporary versions of traditional hymns, Country, really good jazz
Favorite books	Most stuff written by Jodi Piccoult
