IntroductionLet's get one thing straight first...I'm not your average 18 year old. I love listening to orchestra and choir music (see below). Writing and creating is what I live for. It's my zen, it's what makes me me. While I'm a freelance composer for orchestra, and I've written for TV/Radio/Film(as of recently), I do it not for money, but purely for myself. Hearing what people think of my work is far greater payment than any amount of paper or currency can bring. I love movies, music, and airplanes. I grew up around aviation, and as such I've longed to be a pilot, and I have a ton of quirky aviation related hobbies. But I balance it out with plenty of songwriting, screenwriting, and hiking around downtown Boise. I also have found in the last 8 months that I have a passion for cooking too. I love making food, and experimenting with spices, vegetables, and meats. And lastly, nothing brings me more joy than learning. Learning, exploring, and discovering the world, its history, and its future fascinates me to no end.

Favorite musicJohn Williams. Ennio Morricone. James Newton Howard. Jerry Goldsmith. Alan Silvestri. John Debney. Howard Shore. Hans Zimmer. James Horner. Klaus Badelt. The Champions of Movie Score. The men and women behind the luscious strings and brass that illuminate the emotions of characters and events in the films you love. They often go unsung, but to me they are the heroes of my inspiration. When it comes to movie music, I tend to go for schmaltzy romance stuff, and dramatic tragedy when I'm deep in thought. But nothing really puts a charge in my blood like a good adventure score. Alan Silvestri's score to the Mummy Returns, or Edward Shearmur's score to Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow are brilliant works that add an indescribable spice to anything I do. When I'm not listening to movie score, I often go for Jazz of all sorts. Particularly 1940's Big Band style, but really, I love all sorts of Jazz. It truly is the music of the heart. If I feel like dancing, Disco it will be. I have a strange fondness for Disco and Funk. Of course, why did I write so much about music? Well, simply put, it is a tremendous part of my life. I don't know where I'd be without Sinatra, Silvestri, Schubert, and Staying Alive.
