IntroductionI have been drawing and painting since my earliest memories of childhood. After college my painting skills were developed by my mentor Joann Spieler. She guided me to other great teachers including Ray Vanilla, Howard Sanden, Bud Biggs, Robert Summers and R. Morris Patterson. I was a juried member of the Coppini Academy in San Antonio, Texas as a sculptor. I have renewed my enthusiasm for painting in workshops by Carol Marine, Brian Davis and Birgit O'Connor. I have taught painting, photography, technical illustration, architectural and engineering graphics, airbrush and CAD at the post secondary level at TSTI. That was followed by an enjoyable fine art teaching position in K-12 ISD in Central Texas. At the present time I am painting full time and playing cello in a community orchestra. I am also a juried member of The Vanguard Artists group. Photography has been a life long interest. My photos of ordinary objects and flowers from our garden are great reference tools for my paintings.
InterestsPainting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, cello, and family.
