| Introduction | Adventurer embarking on an inward journey in the great outdoors across seas and continents. The name Bel Via derives from romance languages; bel for beauty, via of path or way. The thing I love most however is that Bel Via draws from the last three letters of each of my daughters names, Isabel and Olivia. I miss them so and think of them each day. I will return in time to embrace them. In the meantime I carry them with me each day as I explore as my new found path unfolds before me. I am doing what I love. I love being outside and close to nature. I love being on boats and on the ocean. I love using my hands and my mind. I love learning and teaching. And I love meeting new and interesting people on the way and keeping in touch with family and dear friends around the globe.
