OccupationBehavior Management Consultant

IntroductionI’ve spent most of my life dealing with people who behave badly, starting with myself when I was a juvenile delinquent growing up in New York City’s South Bronx. I’ve worked in law enforcement, drug treatment and prevention at the local and national levels, and spent close to 30 years with the Job Corps program at both the operational and senior policy levels helping economically disadvantaged 16 to 24 year olds learn the academic, career technical, employability and life management skills they need to become reliable employees and responsible citizens. I also served as an advisor to the international Youth Employment Summit and helped develop and served as Director of the Maya Angelou Young Adult Learning Center, a non-residential education and job training program for 16 to 24 year olds under court supervision in Washington, DC. In addition to publishing this Blog, I am the author of the critically acclaimed book on adolescent behavior - Bring Them Back Alive: Helping Teens Get Out and Stay Out of Trouble (Taylor Trade Publishing, 2004)..
